Not you. Another part of The Internet.
I'm not going to point fingers or play the blame game. I won't draw you into the battle, so to speak. But I will share this:
- I've learned a lot more about human nature, with its propensity to swarm and attack without questioning.
- I've learned that there is good in people if you give them a chance.
- And mostly, I've learned that I'm stronger and smarter than I thought I was. So I'm actually grateful.
Thank-you The Internet!

ReplyDeleteWhat I meant to say was....You're a very classy lady, JC! :)
ReplyDeleteekks! I hope that portion of knowing about the internet is short lived!
ReplyDeleteYou do know a giraffe's kick can kill a lion, dontcha? Just sayin. ;-) <3
Well we knew you were smarter than the average bear/punch bag.
ReplyDeleteYou are one strong lady and an awesome person.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had a tough week, but I'm glad you came through it uh... smiling?
ReplyDeleteChunky Mama - Oh yeah! Everyone knows that animators are made of rubber =]
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you had an ugly week. We all missed your funny, awesome, perfect, 5 out of 5 gold stars, art. And you know the old saying (that doesn’t usually help at all) ~ that which does kill us makes us stronger (and sometimes it gives us a great story or joke for later). So glad you are back. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery sorry you had a rough week. You handled it with grace and turned it into a learning experience. Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI missed you, JC. You know what the most awesome thing about punching bags is? They rock. There's that, and also - they are hard to knock down.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the internet sucks. Glad I have places like this to come to.
ReplyDeleteA brown paper bag may prove useful.
ReplyDeleteSarah - thanks for your kind words, and yeah, great point about the stories for later.
ReplyDeleteLaurie and JW - I'm very bouncy. My mom always told me that. That's why she called me Bunny. Ha.
ReplyDeleteAreyoukiddingme - Sweet. I want this to be a safe place.
ReplyDeleteManina - Ok. I'll take the bag, but it better have a smoked meat sammich in it.
ReplyDeleteKnow what else is good about punching bags? The ones with a balancing [heavy] ball in its head that can take down the puncher when they're not looking. That's what I like to call Karma. It's also what I like to call "STOP PUNCHING THINGS!"
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to deal with the sad part of teh interwebz. Hugs. And heck yeah for bouncing back!
I love you JC..always ..umm.. brotherly love not that sticky messy stuff
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you have had such a hard time :(
ReplyDeleteSending you a hug!
Sorry you've had a bad week.... but keep in mind that what goes around comes around! Karma always has her way!
ReplyDeleteAmen! Onwards and upwards =)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for this, JC. I've had a crap week too that ended with me finally defriending and blocking TWO people from FB. (I've not had to do that before) and leaving a social community I've been part of for many years. All over the behavior of TWO nasty people. It has sucked.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to say to you to help you feel better. It is hard to have people assume the very worst of you and cast you in the very worst possible light.
Maybe all I can say is, "Don't Waste the Pretty."
Haters gotta hate and there ain't no stoppin' it.
Chloe, I'm sorry to hear that. It's pretty awful when these things cause a rift within a community.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I'm not taking it personally and I'm way past hurting. It's actually nothing to do with this little blog, it's something that is out in the wider world. There's haters out there but there's also fans.
Thanks for the good wishes; I'll be sure not to waste the pretty!
I dong care what anyone says, you're an amazing woman with wonderful talent. I'm so glad you've decided to share it with us!

ReplyDeleteOne lesson I've learned through the years is: "Ignore the people who spew bile towards you. Ignore the people who hate you. Ignore the people who constantly put you down. Listen to the people who love and respect you. You'll be much happier that way and won't be missing anything."
ReplyDeleteI think you can count all of the above commenters (and myself) as people who love and respect you. Listen to us and ignore the people who've gotten you down.
That was well designed. I liked the cartoon character in the name of the punching bag.
ReplyDeleteMad love from Deeds, sock monkey and family! We can't express our love and appreciation to you enough.
ReplyDeleteIm one of those fans ..always will be .
ReplyDeleteYou are smart and amazingly talented, we, your readers, have always known and will always know this no matter what ANYONE says. Hugs. You.rock. Period.
