I need some happiness bubbles. Monday is a special day. While I am happy about it for some reasons, there are some other reasons that just give me the Sads.
My kids give me happiness bubbles. I'm going to drown myself in them.
I took the kids skating last night & I am simple over the moon that my ten year old son will dance with me when we skate. Mom is still the person he wants to hang with & I love it! (Imagine us in full skate gear shuffling & skating to the Gap Band's "Dropped The Bomb".) Love. It.
I know what you mean. My son is just 12 and nearing the end of his boyhood. The hugs and songs will soon give way to grunts and pimples. But until then he's mine!
My son is 13 and definitely tipping into the "grunts and pimples" category but a couple of weeks ago I managed to talk him into going for a walk with me (with a bribe) and he actually let me walk with my arm slipped through his for most of the way. That gave me happiness bubbles :)
My eldest daughter (who recently entered womanhood) is extra emotionally lately and was loving on her little sister out of nowhere yesterday! It was so sweet to see cause she never initiates touchy feely moments. Gave me happiness bubbles! :)
I watch my friends 2 yr old on weekdays. Seeing her sleepy little face on Monday morning gives me happiness bubbles! And when she giggles, kisses my "ouchies", claps & says "yay!" when I draw pictures with chalk, etc...
I get happiness bubbles when people tell me that I made them laugh or even just smile. Being able to laugh and spread it around...happiness bubbles is a great description of that feeling! Thanks for sharing yours!

Some things in life are bittersweet...
DeleteMy daughter gives me happiness bubbles...especially when we're out blowing bubbles.
ReplyDeleteI love blowing bubbles, the slow even breathing is relaxing. What better pass time to spend with a child. Enjoy yourselves!

ReplyDeleteThat's lovely! Out of curiousity, what was the bribe? I may need to use it sometime.
